.According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, a foreign citizen who wishes to enter Georgia is generally required to obtain a Georgian visa. This visa is either placed in the traveler’s passport (visa sticker) or issued electronically (e-visa).
Some international travelers, however, may be eligible to enter Georgia without a visa, provided they meet the requirements for visa-free travel.
Accordingly, all international students fall into at least one of the following categories:
Category 1: Students Who Do Not Need a Visa to Enter Georgia
Citizens of 94 countries (https://www.geoconsul.gov.ge/en/HtmlPage/html/View?id=25 ) may enter and stay in Georgia visa-free for a full year.
Category 2: Students Who Need a Georgian Student Visa (D3 Visa)
Students who are not from visa-free countries must obtain a D3 student visa before entering Georgia.
Do I Need a Visa to Enter Georgia?
Citizens of 94 visa-free countries may enter and stay in Georgia for up to 1 year without a visa.
Holders of valid visas or residence permits from 50 selected countries )https://www.geoconsul.gov.ge/en/HtmlPage/html/View?id=25) may enter Georgia and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period without obtaining a Georgian visa..
